Our story

As a couple of partners under the brand DEBYT we are engaged in two areas of activities - in business and renovation of quality furniture and household equipment from the 30s up to 70s of the 20th century, and in architectural interior proposals and all kinds of constructions. Tomáš takes care of architecture as he has been professionally involved in this field since finishing studies at the Faculty of Architecture, at the CTU in 2006. What stimulated our business activities with interesting and original furniture and accessories, which mainly Tereza takes care of, was the reconstruction of a mill at Zbiroh stream where we live together with our children and relatives. We were looking for a way to use the vast premises of the old estate and for something to accompany architecture, make some sense to us and be usable by our local sources and skilful craftsmen.

We only offer furniture and objects that may be placed at our customers' interior and enjoyed thanks to their authentic magic. During partial or complete renovations we try to maintain the original meaning of the object or the piece of furniture, and we make experiments only where the original condition of the pieces may not be maintained due to damage. We only choose quality fabric for upholstered furniture and we make sure the upholstery is done precisely including a complete replacement of the inside padding of chairs and armchairs.We can also perform custom renovation of your own furniture.
